The Red Team Takes the Plunge

The Gullotta House Headless Horseman Plunge will once again be held at Kingsland Point Park, 299 Palmer Avenue in Sleepy Hollow on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. Last year the Red Team, which included Woody, Beaker, Turbo, Tattoo and Schlitz, helped raise more than $8,000 for brother Eddie Person’s children, Maxwell and Zachary .

This year, the Red Team will be raising funds for Anthony Farsetta, a longtime resident of Rockland County who is also a husband and father, as well as a brother and friend to dozens in the community.  Tony’s journey with cancer began right after taking a family trip to Hershey Park this summer, with symptoms ranging from a sudden loss of appetite to feeling tired and having nighttime fevers and sweats.  An emergency room visit on August 9, 2023 led to Tony being immediately admitted to the hospital, where he’s been ever since. Being diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma along with an auto immune disorder put Tony through a ring of fire, with chemotherapy and countless sleepless nights away from his friends and family.  The fighter that he is, with every punch that life has thrown at him, Tony has punched back.  It’s been a long road to recovery, but with a stem cell transplant still looming on the horizon there’s more work left to do.  Tony is beating the odds and we’ll all be fighting along with him until his victory over cancer is won.  Please consider donating to the Farsetta family as part of this year’s Gullotta House Headless Horseman Plunge.  #HelpHealTony

To make a donation to the Red Team in support of this worthy cause, click donate above. Please specify in the comment section that this is for the Red Team or in honor of Tony. Anyone interested in joining the Red Team for this year’s plunge can give Joe Morrissey a call.
