The New York State Stay-at-Home Guidance prompted by COVID-19 has temporarily shuttered many local businesses. As a result, many residents are challenged with getting healthy meals for their families. Gullotta House has partnered with numerous local restaurants and organizations to provide thousands of free meals to Westchester families in need. As of April 27th, over 17,500 meals have been provided.

The Ossining Micro Fund, the Tasty Table,   and the Ossining PTA have each galvanized their supporters for separate events in Ossining. Stone Fire is feeding Mt. Kisco families and First Responders. The Grille Somers Pointe is providing free meals in Somers with support from Stephanie’s Mission and the Somers PTA.  Additional partnering restaurants and organizations are Briarcliff Market & Deli, Hudson Anchor, The Stamford Diner, The Mirage, Sal’s Pizza, Tarry Tavern, Terra Rustica, DeliBagel Cafe, Orfino’s Restaurant, Broad River,  Westchetser Tobacco-Stationary, and the Yonkers, Pleasantville, Bronx and Briarcliff Rotary Clubs.

We are grateful to our donors for making this all possible. Please patronize these restaurants who are stepping up to the plate in this moment of need. Consider donating to individual events or Gullotta House to help underwrite Neighbors helping Neighbors.

Please protect your own health and our meal providers by following social distancing protocols, such as remaining six feet apart from others as you wait for your meal. Wash your hand with warm soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If you have one available, wear a face mask or otherwise be conscious of not touching your face.

As of April 27th, Westchester County had 28,700 confirmed cases and 962 deaths from Covid-19. We will get through these difficult times together. Read about the news coverage of our events in the River Journal or watch the video news reports on News 12. Our efforts were recently covered by NBC news and The Somers Record.
